Major Daryl Groves joined the Royal Artillery in 1993 and has served over 30 years across a vast array of operational and non-operational roles. He has deployed on operations across the globe including Bosnia, Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan.

An energetic and effective leader with a flare for operational roles, planning, administration and logistics. He has commanded soldiers in operational and peace time environments with a strong and motivational leadership style and the ability to get the job done, despite obstacles.  

In recent years, Daryl has been in the forefront of delivering new logistical capability into UK Defence and has established and delivered macro level security and surveillance plans across extensive operational real-estate in all theatres of Operations. He has performed in challenging and fast paced logistics environments as operations manager including facilitating movements and military logistics support to troops all over the world.

His experience and knowledge of working with military personnel makes him well placed to support Veterans into Logistics as a Trustee. He is passionate about giving back, and understands that some veterans need additional support after leaving the military and by helping them into sustainable employment, changes their lives for the better.
