Platinum Partner

We have a long-standing relationship with the Veterans into Logistics team; Darren Wright’s personal story resonated with our values – how he aspires to make a difference to veterans’ and their local communities, which is what Asda stands for – Asda Logistics Services felt this is a charity we can work with and support to make our communities a better place.  

We have always looked at how this can be a two-way partnership – how we can support each other to achieve the result of getting veterans into employment. We are very privileged to be a Platinum Partner for the charity and in 2024 we were able to name Veterans into Logistics as our national charity for Asda Logistics Services.  

Each site was tasked to carry out various fundraising events, including a virtual triathlon event traveling from each depot via a military base from Scotland to London – it was a successful event raising money to support the charity.  

Other ways we have supported the charity include donating a trailer for one of their HGV training vehicles, and at our annual corporate Haulier Awards various logistics companies sponsored individual veterans’ HGV driver training, raising an amazing £70k and changing many veteran lives that evening! 

We look for ways to further support each other – through corporate introductions and through sharing job opportunities which has been very successful enabling us to recruit managers and drivers into Asda Logistics Services. It has been very humbling to see and hear stories of how we have made a difference to these individuals lives.  

Veterans into Logistics is a charity that we will continue to support whilst making a difference across communities.
