Platinum Partner

Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd has adopted a culture of charitable giving and our employees have sacrificed their own time to help make the change happen and raise awareness for the charities which we are passionate about. Giving is such an integral part of who we are, and we regularly seek out new opportunities to help charities.

After learning about the significant work which Veterans into Logistics charity carries out, we were keen to get involved, and last year supported them with various charitable initiatives resulting in donations exceeding £20,000!

Early 2024 saw the launch of our specially commissioned Veterans into Logistics charity demonstrator truck, which encouraged customers who loaned the vehicle to donate. The vehicle was suitably named “The Jamie Doyle” in memory of former British Army soldier and friend of Veterans into Logistics Founder, Darren Wright. It also aided communication between the charity and several high-profile customers of ours, all keen to support the worthy cause.

In September 2024 VIL joined us as our special guests at Truckfest North-West, and armed with information brochures, branded goodies and the VIL training vehicle, there was a real buzz around their stand with attendees keen to find out about sponsorship opportunities.

Fast forward to October and we hosted our first joint charity golf event at Dunham Forest Country Golf Club, Altrincham. The event consisted of great food, a fabulous course, superb prizes and was the perfect opportunity to network and most importantly, raise much needed donations for Veterans into Logistics. Special guests Zimbabwean former football goalkeeper, Bruce Grobbelaar and rugby player, Paul Scunthorpe long standing supporters of the VIL charity were also on hand to drum up support and enjoy a great day of golf!

Steve Wilson, Sales Director for Thomas Hardie commented, “We are delighted to be working with Veterans into Logistics charity as one of their Platinum Partners; their unwavering support helps to prevent unemployment and homelessness among military veterans and Armed Forces service leavers. Thomas Hardie has forged a very special relationship with Veterans into Logistics, which goes beyond financial donations and fundraising. Veterans into Logistics is an invaluable resource, and we look forward to a lengthy partnership.”
